I used to work in New York City at—in backward chronological order—Fitness, Shape, Vanity Fair, Jane, and Us Weekly. Now I live in Portland, Oregon, where I write mostly about what interests me. (Someone please assign me a piece on Coco!)
I know, I'm having a bad hair day and wearing two cardigans in the photo above, but I look writerly, no? Uma Thurman was brunching barefoot a few tables away, which explains the rapturous look on my face.
My stories have appeared in Glamour, Bon Appétit, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, O, The Oprah Magazine, Women's Health, Men's Journal, Good Housekeeping, Redbook, Runner's World, Better Homes and Gardens, Woman's Day, Health, Shape, Rachael Ray Every Day, and Dr. Oz The Good Life, as well as Fitness, More, and Self (RIP).
I’ve also written online for The New Yorker, Vogue, NPR, McSweeney's, Food & Wine, The Cut, Lucky Peach, Allure, Vice, Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, Refinery29, Food Network, Racked, Extra Crispy, Brit + Co, Furthermore, and Index Magazine.
