I’ve written monthly columns for Vice and Real Simple, profiles and investigative features for New York Magazine, and one of the most popular Shouts & Murmurs columns of the year for The New Yorker.
My stories have also appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, NPR, The Cut, Bon Appétit, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Saveur, Good Housekeeping, Runner’s World, Better Homes & Gardens, McSweeney’s, Food & Wine, Allure, Vice, Travel + Leisure, and Condé Nast Traveler.
Before becoming a freelance journalist, I worked as a magazine editor in New York for a decade. Now I live in Portland, Oregon, where I pet a lot of dogs and (try to) lift heavy weights. I also write and edit for some of the world’s biggest brands.
